Artefact

I love the word “artefact”, as used in science fiction / fantasy – “Alien Artefacts”. Often dark and dangerous in the wrong hands but powerful and useful beyond human understanding – seemingly magic but technologically based… I’m trying to remember which specific novel/s I’m thinking of, but in the meantime I found this at semioticon.com which describes it quite nicely:

A Science Fiction artefact (Saint-Gelais, 1999) is a system of signs which does not relate to the cultural context of the planet Earth, past or present, but to some more or less radically-alternative and alien culture. These are texts which refer not to a reader’s usual representations but to a completely different set of values, where strange representamen determine in the minds of even stranger interpretants, unearthly objects or concepts. The signs in such texts are not the usual representamen / object / interpretant triads or the everyday Saussurian diads. The reader’s referential world, his or her practical experience and theoretical learning, is more often than not considered as completely useless.

This morning…

I had an interesting thing happen.

I was fast asleep and had set my alarm to wake me up at 5 o’clock in the morning - the eternal optimist.. lol. At exactly five (on my clock) I suddenly woke up, reached over and the very instant it started beeping I hit the snooze button. Now my clock is set 7 minutes ahead of the correct time, so it’s not like my brain is running on some sort of subconscious Central African Time either – I somehow knew the very instant that my inaccurate alarm would go off, before it went off. I have no explanation for this… perhaps something in the hummus I ate last night?

What this proves (and since this blog has no followers to tell me that I’m wrong… hehe) is that time is indeed an illusion – just like everybody says. How else would I be able to wake up the very instant before my alarm is set, the very second before it actually goes off at 5 am (which is in reality 5.07 am because I have set it 7 minutes fast) Therefore to ensure success at waking up at a designated time, eat hummus while setting your intention the night before – this hummus was from Woolworths, not sure if that’s an important detail… but in the interest of scientific accuracy I’m letting you (dear all zero readers of you) know so that you may conduct your own experiments!

Re-connecting

I was lying in bed last night on my back and actually felt the re-connection between my body and my consciousness, it’s not like I was floating around in the air or anything and suddenly jumped into my body… it was more of an understanding of how it happens at the same time it happened.

The best thing I can think of is the point on Peter Pan’s foot, where Wendy sewed his shadow back on (ouch) … it was like understanding that.

I went to a talk last night by Dr. Frans Kromhout, a chiropractor and applied kinesiologist based in Cape Town. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but the evening blew me away. I’ve been to kinesiologists before and they all seem to have their own methods.. perhaps one of the most well known ones is David Hawkins, I’ve embedded a video below of him speaking about how a person with a much higher vibration (like a spiritual teacher) can transmit “enlightenment” directly to you via his aura. Now I just need to find a spiritual teacher to lurk around

Take a chill-pill people, we have all eternity to get enlightened, many times over… so what’s the rush? Enjoy your unenlightenment now while you still have it!

BTW that’s my quote – my friend Leesa says that she’s sure somebody else said it but she’s wrong. I said it! She’s actually the one who inspired it because she’s in such a rush to be enlightened.. lol

At the Airport

Here I am waiting at the airport. All these people walking past. One with tattoos. Every single individual here has a full life, it’s valid and real, with real things happening in it, just as real to them, and as important as my life is to me.

Other people with real and valid lives know them, and their lives are intertwined with theirs. In turn, each of these people have innumerable probable existences, every time they make a choice they create another probably existence, just as real and valid as their current one. They have various reincarnate lives and probably several (or more, who knows?) splinter existences. Each with their own multitude of probable/reincarnate/splinter offshoots – ALL happening at once, this very instant (since time is an illusion).

Our minds cannot comprehend this because they’re not supposed to, such comprehension is not required for this existence – yet it is true.

Since this is true, how can we be anything but God?

I’ve known this for a while, at first only because I read it and it seemed right – I think the concept was first explained to me when I read “Conversations with God” back in the day… and then everything I read after that seemed to confirm it. I think the old “Standard Christian” concept of God was so deeply embedded in my mind that it has taken me a while to make this shift and realise the truth of it rather than just the idea of it… if that makes sense. The most recent that I’m reading is of course the Seth material, and that reiterates the idea more than most, I wish I had found it ages ago. We are literally, and physically a part of what we call God… the evidence is in our very existence.

What nailed this home was driving back from gym this morning and I thought how perfect that moment was, I know that it was partly due to endorphins etc. but the point is not the perfection of the moment, although it was nice. But rather the perfection of how the environment we live in is perfectly suited to our needs – we exist perfectly within our environment, despite the fact that our collective consciousness is a bit diseased at the moment, it is still a part of this perfection, strangely enough – The fact that these conditions exist perfectly, means that if bad things exist then they are supposed to exist, this means that they are also part of perfection. There is no such thing as imperfection.

Am I making sense here? Does it even prove my point? Have I gone completely off subject and made no sense at all? I think I am, I think it does, Probably…
